I was truly thrilled to receive a PR package from Urban Decay with 12 exclusive matte and shimmer shadows.
The packaging itself is gorgeous – I love the attention to detail on the outer packaging and the fact that it includes a double-sided brush, which was conspicuously missing from the recent Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette.
The Urban Decay Naked Honey palette I received did arrive with a smashed shadow – sadness!
Thankfully I have a technique up my sleeves that makes it easy to fix. I shared the details on my Instagram stories and pinned the step-by-step on my highlights. Also take a look at this past post from the early days of Painted Ladies. Instead of taking out the shadow I just dropped the rubbing alcohol in the pan. I definitely went for function over form with this fix, but it worked!
Let’s take a closer look at the palette. The price is $49 and has a nice blend of mattes and shimmers. I’m a big fan of gold toned shadows, so this is right up my alley. There’s no patchiness in the shadows and they all have really nice color payoff.
And here are swatches.
My Final Thoughts: Urban Decay Naked Honey is going to be a must have, especially if you like gold-toned and neutral shadows. I’ll use these golds with other shadows in my shadow collection, as well!
And the video I was referencing – one of my favorite old school tunes!
