The warm and shimmery eyeshadow lover in me? Completely unable to resist! Plus, this super sleek packaging threw me over – Urban Decay Naked Heat, you are on fire, and that’s a fact.
Most importantly, let’s take a look at the glorious inside.
It also includes the signature Urban Decay Naked palettes dual-ended brush, which I really enjoy using. It’s a keeper, not one you want to toss!
So, after having this palette in my eyeshadow loving hands for a while now, I have three major thoughts about this palette.
First – It’s highly dupeable. There really isn’t anything especially unique about this palette in terms of the eyeshadow options. It would be easy to go to ColourPop or Makeup Geek and come up with a set of colors that are very similar to each shade in this collection.
Second – With that being said, Urban Decay Naked Heat sets itself apart with the texture of the shadows. While I find the first 5 shadows to be a tad bit drier than the rest (not sure why!), they are all creamy, easy to blend and pigment rich. Check out these swatches which are done without a primer underneath. Those last few colors? Wow! I’m especially impressed that the three matte colors at the end (Cayenne, En Fueno, and Ashes) are so easy to work with.
Third – This really is a nice collection of warm neutral colors that will work for a wide variety of skintones. I can see this being a long term loved palette and a nice addition to the existing Urban Decay Naked palettes. I’m definitely having fun with this palette and will be incorporating in into many looks this Summer and beyond.
To create this look I placed Cayenne in the crease of my lid, Ashes in the outer corners, a bit of Ember the lower lid, Dirty Talk in the middle of my lid, and Ounce on the browbone. I finished the eyes with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper on the upper lid and NYX Slide On Pencil in Glitzy Gold on the lower waterline. On my lips is Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Naked, one of my all time favorite neutral lip colors.
My Final Thoughts: While there’s nothing particularly unique about Urban Decay Naked Heat, it’s an really nice collection of matte and shimmery warm neutral eyeshadow shades that are smooth and easy to work with. These are all colors I like and will be using this palette on a regular basis.
