My makeup buying strategy lately has changed quite a bit. I’m not really focusing on accumulating the latest and hottest and greatest right away, but I want to take the time to try products I might have missed the first time around.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation has been around for a few years now and even has a spin off concealer and powder foundation. It’s oil-free, hydrating and designed to work best with normal, dry, combination and oily skin. It has a matte finish that can be built up from medium to full coverage, which I prefer.
I wasn’t quite sure which of the 35 available shades would work best with my skin tone, so I headed to Sephora and requested a couple of samples. Warm Beige is described as being medium with neutral undertones and is indeed a good match for my skin tone.
After wearing this foundation out and about for a couple of weeks, it passes the oily skin seal of approval. I do get oily breakthrough on my forehead and nose after about 6 hours of wear, so I do need to touch up with a powder at some point during the day.
I was taping a video (yes! to be revealed soon!) last week and used this foundation which I thought made my skin look crazy green! Maybe it was the lighting at the time because when photographed it’s not that terrible.
My Final Thoughts: I’ve been going on a wish list spree and am so glad I can cross Too Faced Born This Way Foundation off. It’s a keeper I’ll reach for often.
