When I indulged in the Real Techniques Your Base/Flawless Core Brushes I also picked up their Starter Kit. This set contains 5 brushes for the eyes, and I was also really impressed with the quality and performance of these particular brushes.
This set is a high-quality, basic set of synthetic brushes for applying eye shadow. As with the basic face brushes, these are incredibly soft taklon brushes that happen to also be vegan.
The crease brush isn’t great for getting a defined crease, but it serves well as a blending brush to softly diffuse color.
The base shadow brush is great for applying color on the browbone and for a soft application of color on the lid.
The accent brush fits well under the lid and right in the tearduct.
The liner brush is a great one for applying gel liner and is foolproof for novice gel liner users.
I had my doubts about this brow brush, but I really like how it applies and blends out brow color.
The one brush this kit is missing is a flat brush for lid application, similar to MAC’s 242 brush. The brush included for this purpose is just a little too soft for my liking.
You can snap these brushes up at Ulta.com for $17.99. A steal!
Great tips to remember! Nice post=)
I need these brushes! I wish we had Ulta here in Canada. I’ll have to order these online some day.
Gotta agree with you. The brand is great. I don’t care for the eyeliner brush since it feels sort of flimsy to me but the rest get a lot of use in my house!
