Makeup therapy. Truly, there’s nothing better at times than sitting down with a bunch of colorful products and brushes and proceeding to have a good old time blending and patting makeup onto your skin.
The Shopping My Makeup Stash posts I’ve been doing lately (see here, here and here) have been so much fun in so many ways. First, it’s so nice to rediscover products that have taken a backseat to newer products that have come my way. I’ve found some real treasures, like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette which gives a glorious lit-from-within glow.
For today’s look I decided to have fun with my new Natasha Denona Mini Lila palette along with some past favorites from Huda Beauty and even MAC.
Before starting this look I used a touch of Veil Cosmetics Automatte in my t-zone, which is on my forehead, cheecks, nose and chin. For my foundation I used IT Cosmetics CC+ in the shade Tan along with Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer in Medium Dark. Then I added a touch of cream highlighter Fiji from the Huda Beauty Golden Sands 3D Highlighter Palette on my cheekbones. I set the foundation, concealer and highlighter with Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder in Light. For the contour I used Girlactik bronzer in Cabo (a way, way, way back product) and finished with Nars blush in Outlaw.
Of all the makeup featured in this look I have to say the Nars packaging aged the worst! It’s one of my favorite blushes, but the packaging leaves so much to be desired!
On my eyelids I started out my using the matte medium brown from the Natasha Denona Mini Lila palette in my crease, then the first purple in my outer corner and the glittery purple in the middle of my lid. On the inner part of my eyelid is Makeup Geek Shimmermint. The look is finished with Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow on my browbone. The liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition.
On my lips is Milani Lip Liner in All Natural, MAC Lipstick in Blankety and MAC Lipglass in C-Thru. Oh, C-Thru! I remember so well the days when I worked for MAC and sooooo many people came in looking for the J Lo lip color which we all claimed was Stripdown lip pencil and C-Thru Lipglass. But was it??? Ha ha! I totally wish I knew!
Here’s to a glorious and colorful weekend!
