Here we are on the final day of March, and I haven’t come up with the perfect April Fool’s prank. I know! There’s still some time left, so in the meanwhile, let’s take a look at my makeup, skincare, and nail care favorites from March 2017.
It was a great month! There were quite a few goodies this month that I’m enjoying using. Also this month, I created a few video tutorials you can see on the Painted Ladies YouTube channel.
Jordana is one of my go-to drugstore beauty brands for a good reason – their products are top notch! I’m really enjoying these sticks that make contouring and highlighting a breeze.
These two skincare products are luxurious and make my skin feel sooooo good. When tired mommy-itis strikes and I don’t take off my makeup before bed, I make sure to treat my skin with these lovely Aveda products the night after.
If you have normal-to-oily skin you’ll really enjoy this foundation. The coverage is excellent and it wears so well. In the coming weeks I’m going to do a foundation challenge to see how well my foundations last and I predict this one will stand the test of time.
I really thought these eyeliners would be different – black with reflects of colors. However, I do enjoy these liners and find they’re creamy and long-wearing.
Oh, yes. This concealer lives up to its reputation! I’m wowed by how well it covers my tired mommy-itis afflicted under eye area and by the fact that it doesn’t crease at all.
This came as a sample in one of my Sephora Play boxes and I ran right out to buy a full size. For $12 it’s a great deal for an excellent mascara.
This collection consists of two contour/highlight/bronzing palettes that are very well made. The powders are smooth and pigmented and quite lovely.
The purpose of this gentle exfoliator is to protect skin from the effects of pollution. It’s a great one and thoroughly cleanses my skin without making it feel stripped or dry.
My fellow curly heads know that curl meltdowns happen. That’s just how it is! While I typically air dry my hair I am loving this diffuser to add bounce back to my curls as needed.
This peel is a must try. I’m fascinated by how it works – you smooth it on your skin and your dead skin cells fall off in clumps. It sounds extremely creepy, but it’s actually really cool. The eye cream-gel is soothing and helps de-puff eyes.
This is such a cool beauty tool. I have to admit I haven’t picked up my Beauty Blender ever since I started using Real Techniques sponges. I’ve heard from a reader that this sponge ripped after three washes, however I have not had that experience.
A lip plumper that doesn’t burn your lips to oblivion? Yes, it exists! I’m not a fan of the applicator, but the results are great.
After spending hours and hours typing away at a keyboard and phone, my nails pay the price! This really helps keep my nails from peeling and works very nicely as a base and top coat.
Hyaluronic Acid for the skincare win! This is designed with different weights of Hyaluronic Acid to effectively deliver its benefits to skin. Earlier this week, Kathy Najimy of Sister Act and The Wedding Planner fame retweeted a Tweet of this post from Jan Marini and I still can’t get over it!!!!!!!
Truthfully, I didn’t expect this makeup to be that great. My expectations were blown away and I am really impressed with the performance of the products I tried.
PUR Cosmetics has my heart and these matte and glossy lip colors live up to the excellence I’m seeing from this beauty brand lately.
Just one ingredient and you can actually eat it, but you’ll want to save it for your skin! The packaging is luxurious and so is the Nilotica cream.
What a fun month! It’s always a pleasure to look back at the products that I really enjoyed using in the previous weeks. What were some of your March favorites?
