I spent quite a majority of my life not knowing that salt and sugar scrubs could be amazing addition to one’s regular hair care routine. Then I received a luxury size of Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Salt Scrub in a Sephora Play box and my eyes were opened to their wonders.
Yes, buildup happens! I’ve gone through periods of using certain hair care products that have left my curls limp and really not looking very great. While they might sound aggressive, I’ve found that scalp scrubs really are a gentle and effective way to renew and refresh your hair.
Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub features coarse grains of sugar, coconut oil and a probiotic blend to thoroughly cleanse your scalp. It’s a product you use before shampooing and conditioning your hair, up to two times a week on your hair.
It can also be used as a body scrub, and I love that it doesn’t just slip off of your skin when used for that purpose. I get a nice lather out of it, and love that it’s scented with Ouai’s signature Melrose Place rose blend. I’ve been using the Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil for some time now and it’s really such a gorgeous, non-stuffy rose fragrance.
My Final Thoughts: Three cheers for cleansed scalps. I’m a fan of Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub my curls are thankful!
