It’s a fact that I’m turning 40 in 2018, but the truth is I feel so much better than when I was in my 20’s and am eagerly anticipating what’s coming ahead. Rather than feeling scary, the start of my fourth decade is making me realize the best is yet to come. In my younger days, I thought 36 sounded ancient, but now I know that’s just silly! I’m glad for the life I’ve had and know that everything I’ve experienced is constantly coming together to build bigger and better things.
Love Your Age is very well researched, well written and well informed. This book covers a wide array of topics, the photography is beautiful, and it’s written in a warm and encouraging voice.
From beauty, food, fitness, style and more, Barbara’s got you covered!
Five years ago I was a disaster – I hadn’t taken good care of myself for several years prior. I took the stress of solo parenting a special needs child out by eating poorly and never moving. I came to the point where my
health was jeopardized and I knew that if I didn’t take better care of myself, I’d be putting my life and my son’s well being at risk. At the time I was approaching my mid-30’s and if the experience taught me anything, it’s that you really can do things that seem impossible. And, yes, small steps are the way to go! Years ago a work colleague told me “It’s all about those baby steps!” And she was right. One step forward in the right direction compounded upon leads to tremendous results over time.
In Love Your Age, Barbara breaks down small step solutions to pretty much everything you can think of. There are expert interviews and the overall voice is one of encouragement and support. You CAN make positive life changes and it’s never too late.Barbara herself is a great inspiration. She’s a marathon runner who didn’t get started until she was 50! You can see for yourself right here.
