Just As Nice At More Than Half The Price: Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm Stain

I Bought It

By Sheila Arkee

When there is a positive buzz going  in the online beauty community, you can’t help but have to find out for yourself if a product lives up to its reputation. So it is with Jordana’s Twist & Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm Stains.

These chubby pencils are retractable, need no sharpening and look virtually identical to chubby pencils by Revlon, Tarte, and Clinique. Revlon’s Balm Stains have been a part of my makeup life for a while now, so how do Jordana’s balms stack up?

Extremely reasonably priced at $2.99, there are 8 shades to choose from and I ended up with Cranberry Crush, Tropical Frenzy, and Nude Chic.

Cranberry Crush (crimson)

Tropical Frenzy (fuchia)

Nude Chic (pinky beige)

The coverage of these balms is impressive, and I especially liked the way Cranberry Crush lingered on my lips. In fact, I had color left over when I finally went to wipe the product off a couple of hours later.  I found that the shimmer-free Cranberry Crush wore the best in comparison to Tropical Frenzy and Nude Chic, which stayed on my lips but faded much faster. I get about

My Final Thoughts: Although they don’t have the peppermint oil feel, Jordana’s Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains are right on up there with Revlon’s version of the lip balm/stain pencil and I officially call them dupes. They are good quality, long wearing, and definitely worth checking out.

At 2.99 a pop, I’d buy the entire collection! Tropical Frenzy is my favorite, and Nude Chic looks like it would be the perfect nude for me.
