Pores – we all have ’em and we all know the struggle of keeping them looking somewhat decent, especially those of us with oilier skin tones! IT Cosmetics comes to the rescue with so many skin solution beauty products, including their newest IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Illumination Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder and a brand new shade of the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush Poreless Finish Airbrush Brightening Blush.
If there’s one thing I’ve sought after in my journey as a makeup lover, makeup artist, and beauty blogger, it’s the solution to what seems like eternally exaggerated pores. While we all have to remember that photos we see online and in magazines of seemingly pore-less individuals are often airbrushed, there definitely are skincare techniques and makeup products we can use to minimize the appearance of our pores.
With skincare, the key is to keep your pores as clean as possible, which helps reduce their appearance. With makeup products, it’s important to look for products that will blur your pores and give your skin a glow without making it look like a disco ball.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Illumination Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder ($29) is an update to their existing Bye Bye Pores powder, now with a bit of illumination added to the mix. Key ingredients in this talc-free powder include Bye Bye Pores Optical Blurring Technology, Drops of Light Technology, along with anti-aging silk, hydrolized collagen, antioxidants and peptides.
This compact comes with a sponge located under a bottom compact, but in my experience I don’t recommend applying the powder with the sponge for one reason and one reason only – disco ball city. I do like the finish when it’s applied and diffused on my skin with a fluffy brush – it does make my skin look smooth and glowy using that method as opposed to applying it with a sponge.
There’s definitely a lot of glow that doesn’t exaggerate my pores, which is good if that’s what you’re looking for – just be aware that there isn’t any matte happening with this powder. Here it is swatched with the blush.
Here it is on my face.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush Poreless Finish Airbrush Brightening Blush in Sweet Cheeks ($24) is the newest color to this line of two existing blushes, and it is quite a gorgeous pink and gold color. I can barely take my eyes off of it!
This blush helps minimize the appearance of pores with the same technology as in the pressed powder. The formula is talc-free and it’s designed to not settle in your skin or exaggerate your skin texture. It also includes anti-aging silk, hydrolyzed collagen, antioxidants and peptides which benefit your skin as you’re wearing the blush.
My Final Thoughts: If you want to glow but don’t want to exaggerate the appearance of your pores, you might really enjoy IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Illumination Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder and IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush Poreless Finish Airbrush Brightening Blush in Sweet Cheeks. When it comes to my pressed powders, I’m more a fan of matte textures, but will say that the Illuminating powder doesn’t make my pores look huge – a good thing!
