There are few makeup releases I have anticipated lately the way I waited for the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Rose Gold Edition.
This palette was eagerly desired and somehow obtained the day of it’s release, which was a major accomplishment. Just look at this gorgeousness!
It took me hour to get through and place an order the day the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Rose Gold Edition went live on Shop Huda Beauty. However, I managed to get through and was incredibly impressed by the fact that it arrived in California from Dubai in 5 days. I did pay a bit more than usual for shipping ($20, yikes!), but the speed of shipping was worth the extra charge.
Why did I have to have to have to have this eyeshadow palette? Well, not only am I a fan of Huda and really enjoy the products she’s put out so far, but I am a rose gold eyeshadow lover. Plus, my birthday is next month, so each and every single purchase is for my upcoming birthday, and I knew this would be hard to obtain at some point.
This eyeshadow palette is nothing short than glorious. It’s high quality with eyeshadows that are made in Italy. At $65 it’s a bit on the pricey side, but Huda has explained it’s because of the quality of the shadows. Also, you receive 18 eyeshadows, so $3.60 per highly pigmented eyeshadow isn’t a bad deal.
As someone who has been there, done that, and seen many an eyeshadow palette in my life as a makeup lover, I can assure you that this one is a winner. It’s actually incredible with not a single chalky shadow in the palette of mostly matte shadows.
The first row 5 3D metallic eyeshadows (the sixth is the first shade of the 2nd row) that feel like a cream and are best applied on your eyelids with the pads of your fingers. They are a bit crumbly but go back into their pans with ease. Since they are creamy, keep them below the crease of your lids for maximum wear time.
There are 2 Chromatic Pressed Pear Eyeshadows (Angelic and Moon Dust) and the rest of the shadows are Saturated Mattes.
There’s not a dud in the bunch! I’ll be having so much fun with this palette and it’s definitely worth waiting for. It’s coming to Sephora in November, in the meanwhile check on the Huda Beauty website for a restock!
My Final Thoughts: I have nothing but love for the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Rose Gold Edition. Packed with tons of pigmentation, and smooth, blendable colors, this palette is an eyeshadow lover’s dream come true and worth every single penny.
