Healthy looking skin is and forever will be in style and finding makeup products that keep your skin looking it’s best is the name of the game, as far as I’m concerned. I am thrilled to present two beauty products that make that very goal achievable – Veil Cosmetics Complexion Fix and Veil Cosmetics Sunset Skin Foundation.
Veil Cosmetics is a beauty brand helmed and created by Sebastien Tardif. A professional makeup artist, Sebastien set out to create a line of multi-tasking makeup that reveals and doesn’t mask gorgeous skin. I’ve used Veil Cosmetics and have featured them here on Painted Ladies and my overall thoughts are that Veil Cosmetics is a winner! You can see my past review of Complexion Fix here and Automatte here.
As a creative individual, I’m immediately drawn to people who are so passionate about their art. Sebastien is one of those individuals and I was glad to get to meet him and spend some time with him at the recent The Makeup Show LA. He is lovely, knowledgeable and so kind and I really enjoyed learning more about Veil Cosmetics.
My shade in both Veil Cosmetics Complexion Fix and Veil Cosmetics Sunset Skin Foundation is 4N Tan. I love Complexion Fix ($40) which is a three-in-one corrector, concealer and highlighter.
It comes in a clickable pen and works so well to brighten up your dark under eye areas. I also use it around my nose to hide broken blood vessels, around my lips and down the center of my nose for a touch of highlighting. As with all Veil Cosmetics products, it’s vegan and cruelty free.
Veil Cosmetics Sunset Skin Foundation ($49) is an oil-free and water based foundation available in 15 shades that is inspired by Veil’s Primer/Serum.
It’s indeed very lightweight and blends into skin effortlessly. I’m impressed that every shade comes in three undertones – Pink, Neutral and Golden. Sebastien personally picked out 4N for me, so now I know for sure I need to go with neutrals in foundation shades! If you need help picking out a color, you can send 2 selfies to Veil Cosmetics and they’ll help match you. This foundation is also designed to work with HD camera, which is a huge plus! As a word of caution to those with sensitivities, this foundation does contain dimethicone.
Here’s a swatch of the foundation right by the concealer.
I like the pump that twists right up!
My Final Thoughts: Veil Cosmetics makeup products are formulated with love. I’ve enjoyed Veil Cosmetics Complexion Fix and will incorporate Sunset Skin into my regular foundation rotatin.
