Although IMAN Cosmetics is a line that’s new to me, I’m already quite entranced with the products from the line I’ve tried so far. The products are high in pigmentation and rich in texture, a combination that is only a good thing from any makeup brand. The lastest IMAN product on my list is the Luxury Blushing Powder in Allure.
Geared toward woman of darker skin tones, IMAN is worth checking out even if you aren’t, especially if you’re looking for high-end pigmentation at budget-friendly prices.
Smooth to the touch, the pigmentation on this blush is amazing. Here are swatches of the two colors mixed, and then separate from each other. On one side, you have a satin-textured bronze, and on the other, a simply beautiful peach.
On my olive skin, this blush duo is perfectly pigmented. I’m wearing the peachy and bronze shade swirled together here.
My gold standard blushes are by Nars, which I find to be incredibly pigmented and long-wearing. On the other hand, the blushes I have the most issues with are by MAC. They never seem to linger very long, although I do love the color choices. IMAN is right up there near Nars blushes, with impressive staying power that lasts through a long day. My only problem with this blush is that it’s a tad bit on the powdery side, otherwise it’s a two thumbs up, all systems go win.
IMAN Cosmetics Luxury Blushing Powder in Allure won the Essence Magazine Reader Choice Awards for 2012 and I can completely see why! This blush is paraben-fre, retails for $11, and is availabe in stores and online. The website has a wonderful “find a store” feature, by the way!
