Eyeshadow is definitely one of my focus points, but I do make an effort to make sure I have a coordinating color on my lips everyday. Here’s what I’ve been doing lately – along with a couple of lip enhancing tricks to make your pout really stand out.
Nudes are typically the colors I go for, and recently I’ve been wearing MAC’s Fresh Brew quite often. It’s a light caramel color and tends to go with pretty much anything I have on my eyes and cheeks.
Along with Fresh Brew, here are the other products I used on my lips – MAC’s Tan pigment for shimmer, MAC’s Fascinating kohl to highlight, and MAC’s Stone lipliner.
Lip Tip #1: Highlight!
To give your lips a little subtle something extra, line the edge of your cupid’s bow with a white liner. You could also use a bit of eyeshadow or highlighting cream for this purpose.
Blend well, and you’ll find that this gives your lips nice dimension.
Lip Tip #2: Conceal where needed.
One of the most common areas for women to have discoloration is right above the upper lip. Hormones and sun damage are bound to happen, but a bit of concealer will always help. Since the discoloration tends to be brown, counteract with a pink-toned concealer. For a point of reference, I use MAC’s NW25.
Lip Tip #3: Shine on!
To give my lips a little shimmer without going overboard with the gloss, I’ve been using a little shadow on top, a trick I picked up from Kate in one of her tutorial videos.
