Hello, lovely readers, and welcome to another edition of Bits, Bobs And Beauty News. It’s the 2nd day of December and kinda starting to feel like Christmas!
All of my Black Friday/Cyber Monday purchases are rolling in. One of the lights I use for taking photos took a swan dive ever so conveniently on Cyber Monday! It was on an unstable base and ready to go at any second, so the timing was impeccable! Ha ha! I picked up a replacement bulb and a different light for a great deal at Stellar Lighting, so I’m thankful for that.
I picked up a couple of other things here and there … most recently the Becca Volcano Goddess Eyeshadow Palette from Ulta, which is $23 today and $28 otherwise both at Ulta and Sephora. It gets mixed reviews on both the Ulta and Sephora websites, but I swatched it in store and in my opinion it’s a fantastic deal.
Earlier this week Christine from Temptalia wrote an excellent piece on the current state of the beauty industry. It’s very thought provoking and I’m hoping it has positive repercussions on the way makeup releases are churned out. She also revealed how much she spends on makeup to review and my jaw dropped! I have to hand it to Christine for her professionalism and setting a standard for the rest of the blogging world.
In other news I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts of late and I’m really enjoying the information I’ve gleaned from them. I know I’m way too behind on the podcasting world, but I have to give a shout out to Dr. Caroline Leaf’s podcast and Jenna Kutcher’s Goal Digger podcasts. Both are very educational and I leave each episode freshly inspired.
In preparation for the week ahead, here’s a look at what was on Painted Ladies last week….
Ardent Rose Eau De Parfum is not only a gorgeous warm floral scent, it benefits the Roses For Autism program which helps individuals with Autism with job training programs. An excellent cause! I’m giving away two products, too!
The Bite Beauty Sweet Treats Party Prep Agave Lip Care Set is a great stocking stuffer.
Benefit BadGal Bang Mascara lives up to it’s name, and so many agreed on Instagram!
A few favorite lip crayons.
The ColourPop x Karrueche Brown Sugar Pressed Shadow Palette is a winner and just $12!
Henry Charles makeup bags are just so gorgeous – I’m obsessed. Officially.
Here’s to a beauty-full, abundant and blessed week ahead for us all!
