If there’s one thing I cannot do without in my regular skin care routine, it’s a good clay mask. For an person with normal to oily skin, kaolin clay masks are essential to not only keep excessive oil production under control, but also to help clean out pores and keep skin in tip top shape. There are several masks in my current repertoire and today I am sharing 5 must try face masks for normal to oily skin.
Typically it’s recommended that you use a mask two to three times a week. Because I work out hard and sweat a lot, I throw on a mask after every workout that I rinse off within 5 minutes of application. I’ve been doing this for over a year now and it’s really been a benefit to my skin and keeps my breakouts under control.
Aztec Secret Healing Clay ($7.50)
Perhaps the most economical on this list, the Aztec Secret Healing Clay mask is something you must experience! I don’t use this very much because there is a bit of preparation involved and I’m usually masking and dashing about. However when my skin needs serious help, I turn to Aztec Secret which works best when mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar and makes your face pulsate!
I’ve been using and loving this mask lately which seriously cleans out pores and all kinds of gunk. It also makes my skin pulsate and is not a pain to remove, which is a huge plus! It can be used as spot treatment and as a daily deep cleanser – after you’ve removed your makeup, of course!
This is a newer mask in my routine and I’m really digging it. It works really well to deep cleanse and can also be used as a deep cleanser. This one definitely provides a mattifying effect to my skin!
I am in awe of this mask which works so extremely well to not only control oil but also to make skin so, so, so smooth. Seriously, my skin is so, so, so smooth for a couple of days after use. For some reason I thought it was a bit more expensive and I was hoarding my supply, but now I’ll definitely use it more often and repurchase.
Freeman makes some great masks and this Dead Sea Mineral mask is one of my favorites. With a blue hue, this one really turns heads at the gym! It works really well and you can’t beat the price tag.
Do you mask on a regular basis? What are some of your favorites?
