Youngblood Is Fully In Bloom For Spring ’13 With Pink Lips and Teal Gel Liner

By Sheila Arkee

It seems odd, but Spring really is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from us right now. As a beauty junkie my favorite thing about of the change in seasons is the incoming makeup collections, always with a bright pops of color to lure us out of Winter doldrums.  Arriving March 1st, Youngblood has some gorgeous products to ring in the season and I have to tell you, I am in love. Just look at this perfect baby doll pink lipstick!!!

Debalicious lipstick ($19) was named after Youngblood’s longtime Sales Manager Debbie Axen. Debbie, you are one lucky lady to have such a richly pigmented, moisturizing lipstick named in  your honor! Sometimes light tones are hard to pull off, but Debalicious manages to work perfectly, no flaky lips to worry about! These lipsticks contain Sunflower Oil and Candelilla Wax to hydrate and protect your lips.

My favorite new gel liner is Youngblood’s Incredible Wear Gel Liner in Lagoon ($21).

With a slightly gold shimmer, this rich teal is so easy to work with. Applied with an angled liner brush, glide the gel on for long-lasting wear that won’t fade away or make your eyes tear up. This gel liner hydrates and protects your skin with Vitamin E and Lecithin

The Anti-Shine Mattifier ($36) is just what the doctor ordered for my increasingly oily skin. As the months go on, so does the skin oil slick factor, which is easily avoided with this wonderful product. Applied with an enclosed sponge or your fingertips, this mattifier is perfect to use underneath or right on top of your makeup when all is said and done.

When applied, this mattifier absorbs excess surface oil and purifies the skin with Nigella Oil and Pumpkin Oil. And I love you so much I’m showing you what wonders it has worked on my face.

Also new for Spring is Minerals in the Wind: Relax ($22), which is a  rich blend of botanicals that help to hydrate and increase smoothness of skin. It’s formulated with lavender oil to re-balance dryness and liquid green clay to help remove toxins and firm pores.

In the time that I’ve known and used Youngblood’s paraben, gluten, and cruelty free products, I have never been disappointed with the quality, performance, and mad style of the products. Spring is in the air with these gorgeous products – make way for tons of baby doll pink lips!
