Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a fun time going through different makeup brushes used on different parts of the face in the Which Makeup Brush Where series. And I’m not done! We’re going to continue on and delve into a whole new series focusing on different types of makeup brushes, starting with flat contour brushes
Flat contour brushes look like stubby foundation brushes, but in fact, they’re designed to perfectly place and blend either cream or powder contour products. The contour product I used in this post is the Make Up For Ever Jesse J Artist Face Color palette, which I am entirely obsessed with. This peach blush and this matte contour are perfect!
The brushes in this photo are by elf Cosmetics Beautifully Precise and the other is a Sonia Kashuk from a couple of years ago.
Here is a flat contour brush in action. I’m testing a new pressed powder that’s not supposed to give any flashback in photos and yet I think it is – more testing needed! However, as you can see I’m placing the brush right below my cheekbones and blending in my contour product.
Flat contour brushes are very handy to help place and blend contour products and are available in a variety of price ranges and materials. Do you use any flat contour brushes?</div?
