Wet n Wild’s Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette in Newport Nights Doesn’t Impress Me Much

I Bought It

By Sheila Arkee

Although for the most part I am happy with the makeup products that come my way, there are those occasions when I find an absolute dud. That would be the case with Wet n Wild’s Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow palette in Newport Nights. Newport Nights is one of two palettes in the Summer 2013 collection for the Fergie line.

I really wish I did have greater feelings for this palette, given the fact that I’ve used the Desert Festival palette in the Fergie collection and loved it.  Newport Nights, however, is another story. At first glance it’s a perfectly lovely set of light colors.

But then there’s the application. These colors are full of “meh” and give me nothing. However, they probably would apply more vibrantly with a dampened brush.

The verdict? I wanted to love Fergie Photo Op Eyeshadow palette in Newport Nights, but it’s just not the same stellar quality of Wet n Wild that I’ve been used to with their budget-friendly offerings. I’d skip this one!

I agree. The colors are gorgeous in the pan, but I buy eyeshadow to use, not to look at. The colors were sheer when I switched them, and barely showed up on my eyes.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that way!
