Wet n Wild Shimmer The Night Away Palette Swatches & Review

By Sheila Arkee

When it comes to Wet n Wild shadows, I have very little resistance. After I picked up Sparkle ‘Til Midnight, one of the three limited edition palettes for Holiday 2012, I had to return to the scene of the crime for Shimmer The Night Away. That blue in the lower right corner, that wonderful electric glittery blue … oh, my. It just reeled me in.

Considering that I am a connoisseur of Wet n Wild shadows, I have come to the realization that shimmery shadows are their stregnth. The top right hand lilac, the lavender on the bottom right, and the black and blue on the bottom just don’t roll on as smoothly as the shimmery shades and definitely need a cream base underneath. One of my favorite cream bases is NYX’s Jumbo Pencil in Milk, which I always pat on top of my regular shadow base.

These colors do not disappoint, and I’m loving this palette. Here are just a few of some upcoming looks using this palette.

Wet n Wild 8-pan shadow palettes retail for around $5 and can be found at your local Walgreens or CVS.
