When Wet n Wild presents a) a new makeup collection with gorgeous Color Icon Eyeshadow Quads and b) free shipping I find myself exactly where I am right now, prepared to share with your my loot from the glorious Wet n Wild Fire And Ice Collection. The two palettes I snagged are fantastic!
Wet n Wild has been a drugstore budget friendly favorite of mine for quite some time, and it’s been a thrill to see the brand blossom and grow creatively. They’ve been releasing a variety of well thought out collections over the past couple of years and offer limited edition eyeshadows, brushes, highlighters and lip colors with each set. You can buy the products individually, and they also offer a box that contains each product for quite a deal all together, which you can often find discounted when the collection has run its course.
I long ago gave up the idea of hunting down Wet n Wild limited edition products in stores because it’s not worth the stress (or gas!). Wet n Wild’s shipping is really fast and I’ve yet to be disappointed, plus they do offer coupon codes and free shipping – signing up for their newsletter is worth it!
There are 4 Color Icon Eyeshadow Quads in the Fire and Ice collection and I picked up Fit For A Queen and Dragon Scales. Fit For A Queen contains a matte brown crease color (the BEST thing they’ve ever included in their palettes – so much respect for them), a satin eggplant for the crease, a gold for the lid and a shimmery pink/gold for the browbone.
The shadows are pigmented and quite lovely.
I applied each shadow according to the directions on the palette and am quite pleased with the look! The liner I used in both looks is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Dimension.
Dragon Scales contains the most sumptuous green I’ve yet to see in a drugstore brand palette and I couldn’t resist!
I applied the darker green as a holo and the lighter green right in the middle of my lids.
My Final Thoughts: Wet n Wild Fire And Ice Collection Color Icon Eyeshadow Quads are totally worth the $3 they cost! They’re excellent as usual!
