Well, Hello Glossy: The September 2012 Glossybox Report

By Sheila Arkee

It’s always a delicious treat when I receive a fresh Glossybox in the mail. Since being officially won over with the August edition, I was eagerly anticipating September’s, which was promised to be even greater.

The rumors were true. Containing three full-sized cosmetic products, my socks were knocked off immediately upon opening the box .

September’s Glossybox contains two generously-sized hair care products, as well as Glossy Pink lipstick, designed especially for us by Kryolan Cosmetics.

The big winner of the box is a full-size of OC8, a  mattifying gel I’ve been eager to try for-ever!

Missha’ss BB Cream was another full-sized treat, however my skin is decidedly not the shade they provided to me, #13.

I won’t be using the BB Cream, which is a huge bummer. I think it wasn’t the wisest choice to randomly distribute the BB cream colors, so I hope Glossybox takes a note for future instances. Otherwise, I was extremely happy and the $21 price tag of the monthly subscription fee is worth the while — I’m using generously sized products of items I really woudn’t have used otherwise.

If you want to take trip down memory’s lane, here’s a post with my feelings on the August Glossybox. You can order your own Glossybox online.

Wow! Kryolan? Nice! Total bummer with the BB cream. I can’t believe that still happens this day and age.

  • Wendy

I just ordered my first month. $21 sounds totally worth all the stuff you get.
You’d think that these monthly box companies would learn by now to listen to the account surveys they make you fill out when you register. They always ask for your skin tone and type.

I think you will be pleased – the value so far has been amazing.

Well I am bummed. I did not get the OC8 gel in my box! I received “Cleansing Spa Water”? Really?
Also, I can’t tell if the BB cream is a good match for my skin tone, because I cannot get the dispencer to work. This is only my second box. I wonder why all the US boxes do not contain the smae products?

I didn’t realize the boxes had different products until recently, and I will agree with you. That’s a bummer. The BB cream snafu is ridiculous.
