Hey everybody! I’m Wendy, aka NinjaGato. I’m so thrilled to be a Painted Lady!
For as long as I can remember I’ve been obsessed with makeup. My early years were spent being a guinea pig for my older sisters beauty “creations” and the scent of Aqua Net brings back great memories of crimped hair and crazy frosted blue eyeshadow. The Larson girls are partly to blame for the hole in the ozone layer…we’re sorry.
I am remembered by people I went to school with as “the girl who always wore red lipstick.” and one of my friends little sisters still refers to me as “the lipstick lady.”
My favorite makeup memory is of doing makeup for my colleges production of “The Producers,” which basically consisted of me applying black eyeliner and pancake makeup to the faces of makeup-phobic boys. I think the sick and twisted part of me enjoyed the torture aspect. It wasn’t particularly attractive but their eyes showed up on stage and the lights didn’t wash their faces out.
My beauty icons are Bridgette Bardot (and Kim Kardashian but I’m only admitting that to you) and my very own mama. I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest and wouldn’t trade it for anywhere in the world.
