Welcome, Michelle! Introducing a New Painted Lady.

Hi there, I’m Michelle Howard from New York and I feel so honored to become a Painted Lady!

Unlike the other beautiful Painted Ladies, I’m not as well versed in the world of makeup.  At the ripe age of 40 something (you can guess this one if you like!) I am just starting to experiment with eye shadows and other mineral makeups.

I bring a different sort of twist to the blog.  Having a special needs little boy with cerebral palsy has birthed within me a passion for natural health and beauty. I am the Creator of Blended Naturals, a handcrafted line of ethnic beauty products that are predominantly marketed to women of color (although the products can benefit anyone with severely dry, oily and sensitive skin conditions).

I love to chitter chatter and write about all things related to natural beauty but I do have a passion for hair and nails. I have way too many products but I must say that I’m sold on WEN by Chaz Dean when it comes to my hair.  As a woman of color, there are not many products that can tame this mane!

My beauty goals: To keep my oily acne prone skin balanced, for my skin to age as gracefully as my 86 year old grandmother, to help women realize or awaken the benefits of nature based beauty products and to learn how to better apply eye makeup

A little something personal about me: I’m a Christian woman who values her time at home with family and at church.  I’m married to a very silly guy who thinks he’s king of the castle (little does he know I’m wearing the pants…hope he never reads this). Aside from my personal care products business, I balance working a day job at a large credit card company.  It’s kind of interesting being a merchant and a customer.
