My name is Marlee Mortensen. I am 29 years young and have been obsessing compulsively over all things BEAUTY since the day I turned 13 years old. I am a Georgia girl living in South Florida making the world beautiful one head of hair at a time. Hair stylist by day, aspiring makeup artist/ beauty blogger by night.

My love for beauty started on my 13th birthday when my Mom took me to the department store makeup counter and had me completely made over. She bought every product that the artist used and it has been an exciting journey ever since. From that point forward I spent all of my allowance on new, fun makeup and stylish clothes. Today, I do my best to exhibit self-control when it comes to buying makeup, but y’all, its HARD. I am like a kid in a candy store when I enter Sephora. I just cannot help myself!

I am very excited to be a part of the Painted Ladies team and look forward to bringing you many fun and exciting blog posts as we discover the world of beauty together! Together we will learn how to look and feel BLISSFULLY BEAUTIFUL, inside and out! I will be reviewing all different kinds of makeup, skincare products, hair products and different hair styles. I have been reading the Painted Ladies blog for quite a while now and am honored to be named a Painted Lady!
