As a lip balm enthusiast, I will go out of my way to hunt down and seek out the latest new thing that has popped up in the marketplace. It’s a beauty junkie thing. So, imagine my delight and surprise when I happened upon a surplus of the brand new Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips in Walgreens recently.
I was so excited a squeal came out. In the store. And my son officially began to disown me. Not really, but he was more eager to get to the toy section for his promised Hot Wheels!
First and foremost, isn’t this the cutest packaging? What an ingenious idea to make the lip balm look like a smaller version of a Vaseline container. And it’s certainly teensy tiny, and somehow that just makes it seem extra cute.
While the Lip Therapy has been available in the Original and Cocoa Butter varieties for a while, Rosy Lips was only available in the UK until now. It reminds me a bit of Rosebud Lip Salve, but not as irritating to my lips. While I wish Rosebud Lip Salve worked on me, it only turns my lips into a blistering mess, and that’s just all kinds of sad.
The texture of this balm is slightly thicker than the original Vaseline, but it’s not a sticky consistency at all.
The balm adds just a hint of color to your lips and has a lovely light rose scent. This is a great layering balm, and works well for those times you want to use lip pencil as your base with a little bit of added gleam.
My Final Thoughts: Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips is a brand new lip balm favorite that will be in my makeup bag at all times. It’s a great balm but I do wish it was available in a squeeze tube.
Availability: While this doesn’t seem to be available online yet, I’ve found it at Walgreens and Target.
