There’s no doubt that the upcoming Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones collection is epic. It’s so epic I had to split the post into two parts! Yesterday I shared the eyeshadow palette, eye pencils and eyeshadow brushes and today I’ll show you the four lipsticks, highlighter palette and lip and cheek stain.
I was tickled to see that the Urban Decay x Game of Thrones collection was worn by Game Of Thrones cast members at last night’s season 8 premiere party. You can see the looks (including product breakdowns) right here – how cool is that?
The Mother Of Dragons Highlighter Palette ($36) features three shimmery shades imprinted with a dragon’s egg. See, I do know that much about the show!
The colors in the palette are indeed very pretty. The texture of the pressed highlighter palettes is the same as that of the eyeshadow palette. It’s not bad, but it’s that gummy/silicone-y feel.
The four Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones Vice Lipsticks ($19) have pretty damask overlays on the plastic tubes. I love Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks and am happy to add these pretty four to my collection.
From left to right are Daenerys Targaryen (metallic red), White Walker (deep berry wine), Sansa Stark (warm peach nude) and
Cersei Lannister (bright metallic bronze).
Finally, and for the first time ever in Urban Decay’s collective history (I’m 99.9% sure), there’s the Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones Lip & Cheek Stain ($26).
I do love a good cheek stain and this one is a vibrant red that gives you time to blend out.
Overall, my thoughts on the Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones collection are mixed. I love the presentation. The presentation is excellent. Eyeshadow brushes that look like swords? I’m here for it! Also, the lipsticks and eye liners are solid choices. I do think Urban Decay took a hit with the quality of the shadows and highlighter palette, which is not uncommon but I’d take higher quality powders over a tricked out box any day.
Do you see anything you’re going to try from the Urban Decay x Game Of Thrones collection?
