There goes Urban Decay changing things up and giving us a brand new Urban Decay Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette to love on. It’s here and I’m happy to have a palette to share with you today.
The packaging on this palette is completely different than anything I’ve seen from Urban Decay and quite lovely. It has a padded fabric top with orchids printed on the top and the name in embellished gold font. Super cute!
Urban Decay Naked Reloaded is priced at $44 and is available online at Urbandecay.com, Sephora and Ulta right now, and will be in retailers on March 7th. The price is a little less than the other Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes, and I’m wondering if that’s because there isn’t a brush with this one. I do love the Urban Decay brushes!
My press packet came with a tube of Urban Decay Primer Potion – I have to confess I’m not a fan as it leaves my eyelids dry – any one else?
This 12-pan palette is considered a re-invention of the original Urban Decay Naked Palette that was put into makeup retirement several months ago. There are 11 brand new shades and one that’s a hold over from the original palette. The 4 colors on the outer sides are larger than the ones in the middle as they are the shades most people use first.
Going into this review I knew there was some high competition for the side of the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette. I just reviewed the Nars Skin Deep palette which is truly a work of art. Each and every one of those shadows is excellent and deserving of the A+ rating I gave it.
The Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette is lovely, but I can’t quite say it’s at A+ level. It’s a solid B. The colors are designed to work with every skin tone, which I agree with. The color payoff of the shadows isn’t equal and I found myself struggling with Retro and Endgame, both mattes and Dreamweaver, a shimmery brown.
My Final Thoughts: Urban Decay Naked Reloaded is a decent palette of neutral shadows, but not the greatest I’ve ever tried.
Availability: Urban Decay, Ulta, Sephora
