Things I sometimes do late at night: Pump up my favorite praise and worship songs, have a little dance party, watch YouTube videos on non-Americans speaking in their perceptions of American accents (so fun), swatch all 20 of the brand new Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipglosses.
Gloss is back in a big, big way and Urban Decay has something to say about it with the brand new Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss. As a gloss lover of over 20 years, I don’t think gloss ever really went away, it just got swept to the sidelines a bit with the matte liquid lipstick revolution over the past 5 or more years. Seriously – it was a lipstick texture revolution, and while I do enjoy and appreciate a good matte lip color, there’s a special place in my 90’s child heart that will never let go of a good gloss. The Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipglosses are a brand new generation of gloss and they’re done so, so, so well.
In case you were curious, these babies have a lovely vanilla mint flavor and they have a mildly minty feel on my lips.
Plus, the packaging is sleek and so mod! Let’s talk about the cushion-y texture – they’re very smooth and they do have a texture that lends to a long wear time. You can wear them alone or on top of another lip color of your choice. There are 4 textures, which include Cream, Sheer Cream, Holographic or Metallic.
The glosses have a doe foot applicator that’s very comfortable and easy to use.
Are you ready to get into the swatches? Come on! I used a neutral pinky-brown lip pencil and that is it with these glosses.
Goldmine, Obsessed, Rapture, SPL, Fuel
Shadowheart, 1993, Snapped, Naked, Dirty Talk
Midnight Cowgirl, Beso, Savage, Backtalk, Fireball
Candy Flip, Jawbreaker, Big Bang, Snitch, Bang
My Final Thoughts: Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lipgloss are giving glosses a good name! I really enjoy these glosses which are comfortable, not heavy and easy to wear.
