I totally splurged on this microcurrent device which promises to improve signs of aging with regular use. I’ve been using it once a day at night without missing a single night since the end of April. To be very honest, at age 40 I do wish I could have laser treatments to smooth my skin and fillers/botox , but none of those fit my current level of disposable income.
After hearing many good things about the NuFACE FIX Line Smoothing Device I decided to take advantage of the Sephora Spring Beauty Insider sale and just went for it. You’re supposed to use it with an ionic primer from NuFace, but after using the small sample that came with the device I made the decision to use any other primer I had lying around. I just can’t justify $48 for the full sized tube!
To use the NuFACE FIX Line Smoothing Device you apply a thick level of primer in the targeted areas – under eyes, forehead, nasolabial folds and your mouth. The device runs for 3 minutes and you have to monitor how long you’re using it in each area. I do wish there was a beep that tells you to move on to the next section of your face. It doesn’t hurt, but you do feel a buzz, especially around hair follicles. The at-home laser I used for my under eyes a few years ago was horribly painful and this is a walk in the park in comparison!
The results aren’t dramatic but I do see a difference under my eyes for sure, and with a lot less pain involved than that at-home laser. I hoped to see more of a dramatic difference in my nasolabial folds, but will keep on keeping on to see how things improve over a longer period of time.
