Within the box of samples in June’s Glossybox was a full-sized Show Off mascara by Beauty Addicts. The brand is new to me, and I have to admit I wasn’t exactly enthused about trying this mascara.
Or so I thought.
Beauty Addicts Show Off Mascara contains Argan Oil to help condition your lashes and promises to offer volume, length, and curl while remaining clump-free. Sounds fantastic, so I was willing to give it a try.
Part of my trepidation came from not having such a positive experience with curved mascara brushes in the past.
Too much of a risk factor for clumping, I believe, and how are you supposed to use it? With the curved side? Do you scoop up your lashes?
I’ve done my best to avoid curved mascara brushes and ended up using the edge of this brush to apply the mascara so the brush looks like a smile when I’m applying the mascara.
The brush is supposed to be used to follow the curves of your lashes, but I prefer it applied with an angle. The brush is a bit cumbersome and leaves behind mascara on my lash line.
The mascara does add volume to my lashes, although it is ultimately slightly clumpy. I do experience long-lasting results with this mascara and I was impressed by how it looks just as good after a day of running about.

It’s not a bad mascara at all, but at a price of $20 I can’t really say that it’s any better than lower priced options on the market. Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme is $3 and has absolutely spoiled me in regards to mascaras that are significantly more expensive.
