Although I got my start as a makeup lover buying products at the drugstore, it wasn’t until recently that I began to really appreciate items that cost around $10 and under.
The quality and value of drugstore makeup has definitely come a long way in recent times, and there are many must-haves that are just as great (and sometimes even more so) than products costing beaucoup bucks. Here are my top 9 must have eye makeup beauty products that are readily available at mass market retailers, including CVS, Rite Aid, Target, and Ulta stores.
This $2 brush is one of the best brushes I have ever used for blending color in the crease of my eye and the outer “v”, or what I call the outer corner. Admittedly the brush isn’t that well constructed and I’ve had to glue the handle back, but it’s just $2 so it’s easily to replace and stock up on these brushes.
Before this eyeshadow primer, I thought the only options for making my eye shadow last all day and night were strictly higher end. You won’t fail with Primed & Ready, and your eyeshadow will stay vivid and true for hours on end.
I never believed a drugstore mascara could provide such incredibly lush lashes, but it’s true, this is absolutely fantastic. The brush is easier to navigate around your lashes than you’d think!
Sporting another interesting looking brush, this mascara is $5 and worth every single penny and more. Lush lashes guaranteed!
Although there have been some pigmentation issues with limited edition releases, you cannot fail with the permanent Wet n Wild Color Icon trios or 8-pan palettes. Also, the single Color Icon shadow in Nutty is a must have for every makeup user!
These are dupes for Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide On Liners in terms of consistence and performance. You will not be disappointed with these liners that slide right on and give great color.
Oh, how I adore these cream shadows which do not fade or crease, unlike the ones from Revlon which are just plain awful. Wear Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows on their own, or layered with coordinating powder eyeshadow.
I love and depend on chubby shadow pencils to help enhance the look of my eyeshadow looks and you can’t get much better than Milani’s versions which are also great to wear alone or layered with powder shadows.
Creamy, pigmented, and so easy to apply, these are kohl eyeliners that blow higher-end versions out of the water. I am constantly gravitating towards Sparkling Black, a deep black with a fine silver glitter
