Happy New Year! 2014 I am so happy to see you and I feel really excited about what’s ahead. For the first day of the year I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the most popular posts published this year. There are a few that surprised me!
By far one of the most popular posts in Painted Ladies history, published way back in January 2013, also one of the most pinned on Pinterest. Thank you for keeping this going! I truly enjoy creating Breaking Down Beauty posts and hope to do more this year.
I’m a little surprised by how popular this post has been in the short time that it’s been published. It really is a great product and I hope everyone is enjoying their $2 wonder balm.
This is a post that I had wanted to complete for some time and I’m glad it’s been so helpful for so many!
This is another one of my favorite finds from 2013 that I neglected to review in my top finds post, but gee, it sure is terrific. This is one of the greatest powder foundations I’ve ever used and I wear it often during my day-to-day life. Coverage and then some.
You have heard me wax poetic about this finishing powder for hours. It really is that great!
A reader gave me the heads up on this concealer and I’m thankful, because I’ve since found out that NYX makes some pretty great peach-toned concealers!
These really are all that and a bag of chips. Snag ’em!
From the packaging to the scent, these new polishes are simply adorable.
One of my least favorite products of the year. So glad I was able to give you all a heads up on it’s smudginess!
Sometimes I look at my facial expressions in past photos and feel somewhat embarrassed. Eh, it happens. This simple shadow tutorial is a great way to wear some color, though!
Do you write down annual goals? Here are my goals for Painted Ladies in 2014. I believe in dreaming BIG!
1. Finally update the look of the site.
2. Be published in InStyle and Allure.
3. Invest in a good lighting system so I can take photos at night.
4. Do at least one YouTube tutorial or video per week.
6. Invest in better video equipment.
7. Invest in a new lens and photography equipment to take my photos to the next level.
8. Do more Breaking Down Beauty posts and makeup tutorials.
9. Be more creative with my photographs.
10. Do more nail related posts.
On a personal note, I ended 2013 by sending in my very last car payment! That was a huge accomplishment and it feels like a huge weight is off my shoulders. It also gives me that extra money to invest in my 2014 goals for Painted Ladies, so I’m really excited! Here’s to a wonderful 2014 for all of us!
