It’s time for a beauty post I’m always excited to share, a look at my top 10 favorite budget friendly drugstore beauty products.
Actually, I took a look back the Painted Ladies archives and I have never shared a list of my favorite makeup and beauty products. It’s about time!!! Now this list I’m sharing today could go on for about fifty products, easily! Drugstore makeup and beauty has come such a long way in recent years. I remember when drugstore products were more miss than hit, so it’s a good thing we’re here now.
This list of my favorite budget friendly beauty products is in random order and includes products I’m constantly using. They’ve proven their worth and then some and in many cases are essentials!
This eyeshadow was referred to me by a fellow beauty lover and it was one of the best $1 I’ve ever spent on an eyeshadow! It’s an excellent matte shade for the browbone and as a highlighter in the inner corner of your eye.
Milani baked blushes are excellent, in general, and Rose D’Oro is the fairest of them all. I picked this up after reading multiple raves for this beauty of a blush and do enjoy the gorgeous glow. It’s not overwhelming or in your face at all, just the right amount of flush. I can’t handle overwhelming amounts of shimmer these days!
I am a huge fan of Zapzyt which works so, so, so well. Over the weekend I had a monster of a zit brewing on my cupid’s bow. After using the benzyol peroxide-based Zapzyt it pretty much dried up right away, making me a happy camper. Zapzyt is a budget friendly skincare product I share with my son and we both get excellent results.
Zapzyt is an acne treatment gel that’s water based and doesn’t contain alcohol unlike competitive products. As I’ve experienced in the past, alcohol is a no no because it only irritates and adds to the redness of the already inflamed skin around terrible monster zits. Monster zits do flee with Zapzyt!
These concealers are around $3 and are favorites among beauty lovers for a reason – they work so well! I love that these concealers have warm undertones, making them perfect for cancelling out dark under eye situations
These eye pencils are very good dupes for the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Liner Pencils. After extensive testing and comparison I feel the main difference is the texture – the Urban Decay liners are a bit creamier than NYX’s version, however they’re both great options.
