The Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
When Kandee Johnson, acclaimed and beloved YouTube beauty guru, announced a makeup collaboration with Too Faced earlier this year, the beauty lovers of the world (self included) knew something special was about to happen. And it did! The Too Faced I Want Kandee collection just dropped, and one key piece that’s already sold out is the Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder.
This was the part of the collection I was most interested in trying out, and I managed to score the very last one at a local Ulta store.
Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder is scented like bananas, is adorably packaged in a cute compact, and is a takeoff of the existing beauty favorite, Ben Nye Banana Powder.
The Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder is designed to work for a universal range of skin tones. It contains specks of blue, yellow, purple, aqua and pink powder and can be used all over your face as well as a highlight or even just to brighten up your under eye area.
I’ve been wearing it out and about and have to agree that it does brighten up my face and works very well to set my makeup – I’m super impressed by how well it wears and hold up to warmer temperatures.
In this photo, I’ve applied foundation and the Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding powder on the right side of my face in the photo, and left other side completely bare. What a difference! I was super tired when I took this photo, which makes the results even that more impressive.
There is once concern I have with Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder, and that has to do with the ingredient list – in the top 5 ingredients you’ll find Talc, Corn Starch and Dimethicone. Dimethicone is a commonly used filler in beauty products and it does help makeup look and feel smooth on your skin. Certain people will experience skin issues with prolonged use of Dimethicone, self included! Over time and with continued use I typically experience clogged pores. As with the Maybelline Fit loose powder I reviewed a couple months back, I’ll keep using this powder, albeit sparingly and mostly as a highlighter.
My Final Thoughts: Too Faced I Want Kandee Banana Pudding Brightening Face Powder is one limited edition product that I’m pretty sure is going to have to be made a permanent part of the Too Faced beauty range. This banana-scented pressed powder does brighten skin and also helps keep your makeup in place for a nice long stretch of time.
Availability: Currently sold out on Toofaced.com and Ulta, hopefully will be restocked soon.
