I purchased the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Last Dance with a gift card provided by Bluemercury for a post promoting a giveaway. All opinions are 100% my own.
I’ve had quite the dilemma as I’ve been trying the lovely Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Last Dance. Yes, and it all goes down to the separate versions of myself – the makeup lover and the beauty blogger.
Me, as a makeup lover and budget conscious mother: 82 bucks for this? What? It’s pretty but one of the eyeshadows was loose and I just can’t get with that. Do you know how many Makeup Geek eyeshadows I could buy with $82?!?!
Me, as a beauty blogger who wants to fairly cover this set of four eyeshadows: This is a set of 3 finely milled shimmery eyeshadows with one with a chunky (and refined at the same time) disco-era inspired eye colors.
The packaging is sleek and gorgeous, and the eyeshadows are a bit deceptive. While I didn’t expect to love them so much, they blend exceptionally well and last for well past your “Last Dance”. And, when you think about the price, there are other brands, such as Urban Decay, which sell single eyeshadows for $20, which is the price per shadow for this quad.
Oh, it’s quite a dilemma I face, and part of it is colored by the fact that this very luxury eyeshadow palette came with one of the shadows loose from the palette itself. It’s an easy fix with my hot glue gun, but still, I mean come on – this is an $82 eye quad!
I do like this quad, but ultimately I have to say the price is more than a bit prohibitive for me to collect more and you can definitely find similar shadows at better prices. I have to say I adore my Huda Beauty Rose Gold eyeshadow palette which also contains very finely milled eyeshadows. At $65 for many more colors, the Huda Beauty palette is definitely a better deal.
This is the look I created with the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Last Dance. I used a bit of Inglot Duraline in the inner corner to help give the chunky glitter a bit more impact.
My Final Thoughts: While the shadows in Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Last Dance are definitely luxurious and so pretty, I’m not chomping at the bit to purchase another quad, which is exactly how I felt about Tom Ford Lipstick in Flamingo.
