This One’s A Keeper – Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener

By Sheila Arkee

As a mother I can honestly say that it’s a blessing to see a child grow right in front of your very eyes. However, along with the joys come some pains, including the fact that I will probably never get a decent night’s sleep until my son leaves for college.

There are so many times I wish I could pack the bags under my eyes and send them on a vacation, and for such times I have come across a delightfully effective product that brightens up my eye area when used on top of concealer. When I use Smashbox’s Photo Op Under Eye Brightener, you would hardly be able to tell I was woken up at 5:30 am by a Thomas and Friends DVD case smashed on my forehead.

I’ll admit I was mighty doubtful about the eye brightener. Would it be too sparkly? Is it promising too much of good thing?

The good news is that this lightweight eye brightener melds with your concealer, and creates an optical illusion that helps to banish unsightly darkness.

The product itself comes with a brush applicatior and has a thin consistency. I put on my concealer, put a bit of the brightener on my palette, aka, the back of my hand – and dab it on top of the concealer, then set with a transluscent powder.

Without concealer.

The Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener is now an essential part of my kit, and reasonably priced at $18.

That looks awesome! I’ve heard a lot about Smashbox but didn’t know what product to try, but now I definately want to try this Brightener after seeing this! I’m obsessed with under eye products at the best of times :)

Hooray! Thanks for sharing! I’m always on the hunt of under eye make up – unfortunately, genetics make me look like a drug addict because of the SUPER dark (purplish) circles I get…I think I might go pick this up this weekend…
