The Best Of Avon arrived at Painted Ladies headquarters recently and I was thrilled to see several of my favorites! In general I think Avon is underrated and I have definitely found some great products from this beauty brand that so many of us have used for so many years.
I was listening to my favorite new podcast, The Dream, and they mentioned Avon when discussing direct sales. I haven’t been approached by an Avon Lady in eons so I guess I don’t really think of it as a direct sales company, really. It’s easy enough to buy the products online and that’s the way I recommend anyone go. Long story short, many years ago I was an Avon representative … briefly! Things didn’t pan out the way I thought they would, but I’ve remained a customer since.
As a beauty lover I’ve been very happy with the quality of Avon products, which include the Avon True Color Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Quads ($8) seen here in shades Mocha Latte and Romantic Mauves. These shadows are silky and smooth! I’ve swatched Mocha Latte Below with the fantastic Glimmersticks Eye Liners in Cosmic Brown and Blackest Black ($7 each). These liners are so smooth and easy to work with!
I have an upcoming post featuring the Avon Anew Clinical Unlimited Lashes Lash & Brow Activating Serum ($60) and True Color Love At 1st Lash Mascara ($12) and can’t wait to share my results!
When it comes to skincare, I definitely vouch for these two hydrating skin products. I love both the Avon Anew Hydra Fusion Replenishing Serum ($40) and Hydra Fusion Gel Cream ($32, see the review of both here). The products are lightweight and really work well.
Avon has fantastic lipsticks! I had several unused ones that I gave away to my mom and a sister and they were thrilled! The two pictured here are Avon True Color Nourishing Lipsticks ($8) in Brown Sugar and Peony Blush along with Avon True Color Lip Glow ($8) in Estrella and Ignite.
