It seems as if I am full of confessions of my makeup-related mistakes, and here I am with yet another one. Why share? Well, I suppose it’s to make myself feel a little better and to show that we all go though a learning process. This one involves a liberal dose of [...]

In my travels as a makeup junkie, I haven’t come across many items that qualify as a complete fail, but this one takes the cake. A complete fail to the point that I want my $9 back, because that’s about 2 Starbucks Grande Iced Mochas with change to spare, and I would [...]

My dear, sweet friend Elizabeth has become an Arbonne Representative. Now, I am one for better living through chemistry, so I was a little skeptical of the Arbonne message and their products. I was given samples of their skin care ( the eye cream is not to be believed it is so [...]

I’ve mentioned this before, but for some reason silicone primers break me out if I use them anywhere but on my nose and the sides of my nose. This works out OK for the most part since the largest pores I want to cover are in that specific area, but when I [...]

No, I don’t mean actually taking a day off, but removing the day’s makeup from your face! As much as I enjoy using oil cleansers, they always need to be followed up with a regular facial wash as my skin doesn’t feel clean with just a rinse after using my DHC or [...]

Undeterred, I went to the UK site and placed my order there, and while paying more, the pigment and the eye pencil I purchased did not disappoint. Application with all of the products is a dream, even though a couple of the colors are way too wild for me and need to be toned down with some gloss or eye shadow.
Illamasqua shipped quickly and included a beautiful Spring/Summer ’09 catalog with my order that screamed inspiration! While I wouldn’t attempt these looks for everyday wear, it would be fun to experiment to try to create these on my own.

So what did I order? Read on to find out…

What do I look for in mascara? My lashes, it seems, are very picky, and are the very reason why I had always resorted to high-end mascaras. After curling my lashes, the perfect mascara must follow or else the curl will be nonexistent. I have found that the drier the formula, [...]

Growing up in front of the television in the sixties and seventies, Lucille Ball was one of the biggest celebrities at the time. Her comedy skills were undeniable and so was her red hair. The color of her hair was always part of a running gag on her shows as well [...]
