Sugarpill Cosmetics (at long last): Mochi, Midori, and Golidlux Shadows

By Sheila Arkee

It’s been a long time coming for me to acquire some of the highly touted, indie cosmetics brand Sugarpill. I’m adding them to my list of must have brands, because the shadow I tried are indeed fabulous.

A perpetual fan of green and gold shadows, I picked up Midori, Mochi, and Goldilux, and proceeded to fall deeply in love.

From the packaging to the product, the detail in these shadows is fantastic.  The shadow are richly pigmented and indeed live up to their great word of mouth.

Midori is a classic kelly green witha a slight shimmer, which is a color so hard to find in other lines.

Mochi is a matte, minty seafoam green. This one feels a little more powdery than Midori.

Goldilux is a fabulous gold loose pigment.

My shipment included a cutely packaged sample of Lumi, a multichrome white with flashes of blue and green.

OCC’s loose pigment in Flawed has been my go-to for a rich gold, so I wanted to compare it to Goldilux, which is warmer and has more shimmer.

I will be having a lot of fun with these shadows (understatement of the year).

Sugarpill shadows retail for $12 and can be found online.

I’ve been a Sugarpill fan a long time!! I totally love them. I have every single shadow in their collection.

I was inspired by your post to do the same look, and I added a gold color on the center of my lid (I didn’t use Goldilux, but it was similar) and I darkened the outer corner.

Yesss, join us on the Sugarpill side!

If I may recommend a few shades: Stella (rich black with blue, purple, and silver sparkles), Magpie (metallic dark blue), Junebug (sparkly, RICH green), and the Heartbreaker palette- although you already have Mochi. The rest of the shades in that palette are just as good, especially 2am! It’s my favorite matte purple.

Also, if you use a very, very small amount of Goldilux, it looks great as a gold highlight in an eye look.

Making a note of all those colors!!!
