Ha ha! I feel your pain, girl! I do have a couple of suggestions, first being using a matte vanilla eyeshadow in the place of a highlighter, like Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow which is excellent for so many purposes. I also love and adore the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. Dim Light, the color on the very left, must have some kind of fairy dust in it, because it gives the most gorgeous lit from within/no glazed donut effect.
