Over the past few years my Target shopping practices have changed dramatically. I no longer pop in “just because”, since those trips are pretty much guaranteed to go from $ to $$$ in a heartbeat! You know how that goes! Now I show up with a purpose and a plan with the occasional detour through the beauty section. You know, for research purposes. Lucky for me I happened upon Up & Up (Target’s house brand) brushes and walked home with their Smudge Brush, which at only $2.49 is a deal worth doing cartwheels over.
Well, maybe just a little bit because this brush is awesome! Compact, with soft bristles that don’t scratch your lids, the brush is fantastic for taking a basic eyeliner and turning it into sultry, smoky eyes, and also for depositing intense bursts of shadow where you so desire, as in this photo
It kind of reminds of MAC’s 239 brush, but when I placed them side by side I found the 239 is fluffier and softer all around – more for blending, and not so much for smudging.
My Final Thoughts: The brush is fantastic! There’s nothing more to say except go and nab one!
Rating: A +
Availability: This brush can be found at your local Target or Target.com.
