Several years ago I found a quote by designer William Morris that I quite agreed with: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful”. How delightful, then, to find this quote as part of the mission statement by the creators of STEAMCREAM.
Besides creating a high quality vegan an cruety-free moisturizer that could be used for a variety of purposes – on your face, hands, and body – STEAMCREAM is packaged in limited-edition, reusable, and beautifully decorated aluminum tins. I chose Queen Bee, which is a design I’ll enjoy for a long time to come!
What is STEAMCREAM anyway? This is what I’d call a skin care revolution. Handmade in the UK and Japan, this moisturizer uses only fresh ingredients that are fused together with a shot of steam. You’ll find Oatmeal, Orange Flower Water, Cocoa Butter, and Jojoba Oil as some of the ingredients that make STEAMCREAM so wonderfully nourishing.
While the texture is lightweight and thin, it’s not runny and it skins into your skin immediately. Be careful opening the tin because the contents could spill out if not handled with caution. My skin is a tad bit on the sensitive side these days, and I found that STEAMCREAM did not irritate my skin at all.
The only thing to be aware of is the lavender scent which doesn’t bother me, but might be strong for some. Otherwise, this is a really great basic moisturizer and I love that I can use it for many purposes.
My Final Thoughts: If there’s two things I’ve learned in life, it’s that good things come in small packages and that a thing of beauty is a joy forever. STEAMCREAM satisfies both of those goals and I have to say I’m a fan of this moisturizer which soothes my skin and actually works nicely as a basic moisturizer underneath makeup. Make sure to check out their many adorable tin designs online!
