On the heels of my stellar experience with the Physicians Formula Butter Eyeshadow Palette in Shady Nights, it’s a good time to tell the tale of a few other notable drugstore beauty products I’ve picked up recently.
The divide between drugstore makeup and higher end products has come down many, many notches over the past years. It’s always fun to find some new and exciting must haves, and I have a few great ones to share!
I absolutely love and adore a good, soothing eye patch and the Bliss Holographic Foil Eye Masks Eye Got This patches are fantastic. Fantastic! I first learned about these depuffing and brightening masks through social media when I was super intrigued by seeing other influencers wearing these patches with holographic stars. At $4 a pack I wouldn’t call them an everyday necessity, rather a weekly treat. They are very nice on tired eyes, and to up the soothing factor I recommend storing them in the fridge.
CVS offers a wide variety of K-Beauty products these days, and I picked up this $6 Peach Slices Jelly Bounce Lip Balm in Peach when I bought the Physicians Formula Shady Nights palette. I had no expectations going in and was delighted to discover that it’s excellent!
It is a bit heavy so I wear it at night and wake up with extremely smooth lips. There are other flavors available, including cherry and mint.
I’m working on a larger post involving the fascinating Rebel Edge Trio brushes from Real Techniques. Admittedly, I purely bought them because of how they look! Also, I’ve never been disappointed by Real Techniques products, so it was a safe bet anyway. Aren’t they interesting?
What are some of your current drugstore beauty favorites?
