Yes, I’m the proud owner of a farmer’s tan – I tend to wear short sleeved shirts on all of my outdoor adventures, which means that a small section of my upper arms tends to remain a few shades lighter than the rest of the skin on my arm.
So, what’s a lady to do when the time comes to wear something sleeveless? That’s where self tanning products come in handy, and lately I’ve been loving this extremely easy to use mist from St. Tropez.
With St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mist you can control the depth of the tan you would like to sport for up to 5 days, which is when my self tans fade away.
You spray the mist on your skin, blend it it with a tanning mitt (preferably) or your hands, and let it set for 1, 2, or 3 hours before showering or washing off the tanning mist. After removing the mist, the tan will keep developing for 8 hours. The less the mist stays on your skin, the lighter the results.
So, let’s get down to the results. Here’s my arm before.
And after, after having the mist on for 3 hours. I love the fact that the resulting tan looks like it just blends into my skin.
At $40 it’s a bit on the pricey side, however I can justify it with the results and the gorgeous, natural color that it gives my skin.
There’s also a bronzing sheet mask available that I think is a really interesting idea! I haven’t felt brave enough to use it and will keep you posted if I do.
My Final Thoughts: What I really like about St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mist is the fact that it’s so easy and the results are so great. The tan slowly fades after 5 days without any kind of patchiness. I recommend it!
