It’s time for another edition of Shopping My Makeup Stash, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned doing this series, it’s that sometimes rifling through my makeup loves of time past is just as exciting as purchasing something new. For this look I was inspired to create a berry toned makeup design with the Urban Decay Born To Run eyeshadow palette.
Wendy Zomnir, the creator and head of Urban Decay, put out a call on Twitter for looks that use the berry toned shadows in the Born To Run Palette, which I think is a great overall look. Berry eyeshadow for the win!
I used Hellride in my crease, Wildheart in my outer corner, Stranded on my lid and Breakaway on my browbone.
The glitter on top of my eyeliner is Urban Decay Heavy Metal in Punk Rock.
Let’s take a break from the makeup to talk about the second day curls that are going on in this photo. CURLS hair products for the big time win – I’m thrilled!
Also, can you tell I’m trying to use the camera’s remote from a slightly awkward angle? Ha ha! It’s what happens when I decide to eschew a tripod, hold the camera in my hand and the remote in another hand. I’m telling you, these are mad skills that deserve a place on my resume!
For the rest of this makeup I used the following:
ColourPop No Filter Sheer Pressed Powder in Medium Dark – I have to say I truly like this powder and it hasn’t done me wrong.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light to highlight – I’m so glad I dug this palette out of obscurity! These powders are legitimately excellent and help give your skin a lovely glow.
Milani Baked Blush in Bella Rosa – Milani’s baked blushes are some of the very best out there!
IT Cosmetics Sunshine In A Compact Warmth – I’d forgotten all about this fab find from IT!
Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip 201 – These creamy liquid lipsticks are gorgeous. They don’t feel heavy and yet offer intense, long-wearing color.
This berry toned look has me feeling like Fall! School starts next week and the inklings of Fall have arrived. I’m feeling the pumpkin spice fever starting! Do you find gravitating towards berry toned and darker makeup looks in the Fall months?
