The Shayla x ColourPop Perception Pressed Powder Shadow Palette featured in this post was purchased by me. All opinions are 100% my own.
There are many things in life and in beauty that are worth waiting for, like finding true love. In the case of beauty, I’d have to say the currently sold out Shayla x ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is most definitely worth waiting for. And then some!
This lovely 16-pan eyeshadow palette is part of a recent collaboration with beauty influencer Makeup By Shayla and ColourPop. The collaboration includes a collection of products that also includes three lipsticks, a lip gloss and two loose powder eyeshadows. I found the mix of shimmery and matte cool and warm eyeshadows in the palette to be completely irresistible and managed to snag one when it was first released.
I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on one, because this palette is a winner! And that includes the black, purple and gold packaging! I love that it comes with a generous mirror, as well. Some ColourPop palettes do not include a palette at all.
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the last ColourPop palette I purchased, which was the ColourPop x M Little Pony collection. That palette was inconsistent in the quality and some eyeshadows were really patchy. Thankfully the colors in this palette make up for that issue. These shadows are richly pigmented and so smooth. They aren’t a struggle to work with at all. Here’s a closer look!
From left to right: Unbothered, TF, Titus, Stallion
Spill the Tea, Diva, I.E. 14
Strut ‘n Slay, Culture, Sassy, September
Revenge, Thic, Played Out and Shade
Shade reminds me of a souped up and glittery version of MAC Sketch, which is one of my all time favorties!
To create this look I used Culture in the crease, Shade in my outer corner, I.E. in the inner corner, Diva in the middle of my lid and Unbothered on my brow bone. The liner is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper on the upper lid and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Mildew.
My Final Thoughts: Shayla x ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is a stunner! It’s a job well done and worth waiting around for.
