Is Extra WOW Lash Mascara Another Keeper From Rimmel?

Press Sample

By Sheila Arkee

In the past few weeks, I’ve been on a journey with mascara. A long overdue one that has seen me spreading my wings beyond my tried and true favorites. As much as I love Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme and Make Up For Ever’s Smoky Lash, it’s been time to open up to other great possibilities in the world of mascara.

Rimmel has quite a few mascaras on the market, and I found myself loving their Scandaleyes Lycra Flex, which left my lashes looking quite lush. Will Rimmel’s Extra WOW Lash mascara live up to its good reputation? With a name like that, it sure better make me say, “wowzers!!!”

It’s hard to accurately photograph, but Extra Wow Mascara has a tapered brush that looks like a 3D triangle, making it easy to get into those hard to reach corners and coat them with mascara.

I found that Extra WOW is easy to apply, doesn’t clump up on me, and creates nicely separated and voluminous lashes. Here it is in action.

And yet again. It’s a nice look, and I what I like most is that it does not create any smudging or fall down.

In comparison, here are my eyes with Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex. I have to say, I find this the volume of this mascara a little more appealing than Extra WOW.

The verdict? While I’m not saying WOWZERS, I like it. I really, really like Rimmel’s Extra WOW Mascara which is a bargain find priced at $3.99. You can find this mascara at Ulta and other mass market retailers that sell Rimmel products.

Looks great! I LOVE Extra Super Lash, but Rimmel isn’t cruelty free so I don’t buy from them anymore :(
