How To Remove False Lashes

Press Sample

By Sheila Arkee

After posting last week’s false lash application tutorial, I received a few questions wanting to know how to remove the lashes without harming one’s own lashes. That’s a good question!

How To Remove False Lashes

As you’ll see in this short, easy video, it’s a piece of cake. Just use a q-tip dipped in an eye makeup remover or a cleansing oil and run it along the top and bottom sides of the lashes. The lashes will slip right off and you won’t lose any lashes in the process.

I live by DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil and this is what I use for falsies removal. You can pick the extra glue off the lash strip with your fingers or tweezers and use a makeup remover wipe if you need to remove any extra makeup remover or cleansing oil.

This is my first time doing a narration and I think I managed to pull it off. I’m slowly but surely getting better at video editing and it’s definitely a fun process.

What goes on must come off, lol! Great idea for a tutorial. I love the tip about the eye makeup remover Q-tip to aid in taking it off. It sounds so much gentler on the eyes

Nice tutorial! The only time I’ve worn fake eyelashes is when I was at Cosmoprof and had them professionally applied haha

This is great for beginners who usually just go at it and rip em off!

I’m not a beginner and I rip ’em off! Not gonna do that anymore! Maybe. Maybe not. ;P

I like that you’re posting more videos. It makes it easy for me to watch than read, esp when I’m tired :-)

I’m so naughty, I just pull them off but in my defense they are usually half falling off anyway.

I loved your tutorial because it is so much like how I remove mine… I always remove with some makeup remover or coconut oil because I gotta keep what little lashes I have left. lol

I use a makeup remover. I’m going to look into using the coconut oil, though!

Great advice! Oil is the best way to remove any makeup and lashes, much more gentle on the eyes/ our own lashes.
