Over the past week I’ve been making a list of the things I have to be thankful for this year. I have to admit that the Real Techniques brushes are part of that list. These luxe, well-priced taklon brushes prove that it no longer has to cost an arm, leg, and 3.5 paychecks to invest in excellent makeup brushes.
After lusting for the Your Base/Flawless Core Brushes for quite some time, I was thrilled to finally have them in my posession. This set of four face brushes costs $17.99 and is quite the value. The brushes are all great, and I have to say that the Buffer Brush is the standout. I have used many, many, many makeup brushes in my time as a makeup lover and makeup artist and this one stands out as exceptional.
The brushes are soft and yet stand firm ground, and it is quite incredible how easily they wash out. The set comes with a case that stands up when a toggle is pulled in the back.
The set includes the aforementioned Buffer Brush, which I use for foundation and powder.
The Contour Brush, which I use for blush. It blends out your makeup perfectly, don’t worry about harsh lines.
A Foundation Bush.
A Concealer Brush, which gets into small spaces and blends product perfectly.
The set is a great value and I recommend it to everyone, from experienced makeup users to those who are new to trying makeup. You can find Real Technique brushes at Ulta, where there is currently a buy one, get one 50% off special.
